During the class of Math 3, the learning objectives are to learn problem-solving skills and learn how to do math advanced. This is valuable to my future because in the future my career needs a lot of math and problem-solving so it’ll help me a lot in college. The project that I am submitting as an artifact for math 3 had the following learning objectives were to learn about doing translations of exponential functions quiz. These link back to the course learning objectives by learning how to do the math and doing problem-solving skills to solve the problems of the quiz.
The assignment or project was about solving equations on the quiz to get a high score and pass and required me to do problem-solving skills and I used my notebook on what I wrote about the equations and how to solve them. The Process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with writing down notes about the lesson given to me then I did a practice quiz so I can pass the final quiz and pass it with a 70% or higher. So after I did the practice quiz I did my final quiz and used my notes, then I submitted the quiz and passed. Throughout this process listed above, I have realized I have learned or grown in problem-solving and learning a lesson on math so I can know how to do more math. These link back to the course goals and project goals by using problem-solving skills and learning more about math. This tells me the following about myself and how I learn to do problem-solving way better than I used to.
The Two School-Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are Mastering skills needed in career and college and Applying technological skills for the 21st century. I have demonstrated the Mastering skills needed in career and college in the artifact by learning math needed for my further career and problem-solving so I can be better at math. This is important because math is really important for a mechanical engineer and I need to learn it. The Second SLO I demonstrated was Applying technological skills for the 21st century by using my computer, like a calculator, and using google to write down important things on my notes for that lesson and is important because technology is what we need now to succeed in the future and its way more convenient. I could have improved the following SLO better by Self Directed learner who communicates effectively by telling someone for help if I needed it.
Overall the most important things I have learned in this class this year are learning how to do problem-solving skills and math. These skills I have learned in this class will help me in the future by using this for my career, so it’ll make it easier for me to pass my math class and do better in school.
